Tips for the victim
You are a victim if you are suffering the most in silence. If you are constantly being bullied you tend to shuts down completely from the rest of the world. What victims need to know is that they are not alone and that the best thing they can do to put a stop to the bullying is to SPEAK UP. It might seem hard to speak to someone because you fill that no one will listen to you nut there is always someone out there that will listen and help. Have faith and hope through it all. Speaking up is the first step to changing things. Tell someone how you feel, what is happening, and what you want to stop. Put a stop to the bullying. Do not hesitate and keep insisting even if it seems that no one is providing help. Be strong and report any time of bullying done to you. Protecting yourself and walking away shows the bully that he has no power over you and that you and not afraid of him. Stop that bully because someone else might be also suffering due to the bullying. Be your own hero.
Tips for teachers, Administrators, and ParentsTeachers- Having classroom activities that are against bullying can be helpful as well as taking immediate action when bullying is first spotted. Teachers must treat all students with equal respect and treatment. Impose the schools policies and always have zero tolerance towards any kind of bullying. Have classroom rules to follow.
Administrators- Administrators must take action to punish the bullying accordingly to the situation to prevent further bullying. Be attentive and not naive when it comes to "simple" or "insignificant" friendly like pushing or punching and insults. Having a school wide code conduct makes the issue a problem so that students are aware. Having more supervision and more strict consequences also help prevent and stop this issue. Parents - Speaking to your child and informing of the dangers of bullying is important. Listen to your children every day. Be involve with the school and constantly check on your child's behavior and grades. Ask your son or daughter about his/her day and help them if they are going through problems. Communication is key. |
Tips for CommunityCommunities can work together to put a stop to bullying if they work as a team. They can involve the youth and other adults yo promote bullying prevention. Making decisions as a team to coordinate events to stop bullying also creates a greater change. Campaigns against bullying is also an effective way of putting a stop to it.

Tips for the Bullies and BystandersBullies - You have no such power if you believe that harming others gives you power. You are a weak selfish person by committing the act of bullying. Stop yourself before someone gets hurt.
Bystanders - Bystanders should be informed of how important their actions can be. By laughing and being an audience you are encouraging bullying. Put a stop to that and put yourself in the person who is getting bullied shoes. Taking action instead of just observing the victim getting victimized helps make a difference. Do not isolate and send a message of acceptance to the bully to continue his/her behavior. Yo have the opportunity to help others so take advantage. |
